Welcome to the 2022 season of spielbox.
spielbox® is the greatest and oldest magazine in the world that focuses on board games and card games. Since 1981, whole generations of well-esteemed and professional reviewers have offered potential game buyers helpful information.
The magazine is available via subscription, our webshop, game stores and kiosks.
Seven times a year, our special interest magazine delivers up-to-date, extensive information on
- game reviews by independent journalists
- background reports and reportages
- suggestions for and variations of established games
- interviews with publishers, designers and illustrators
- fair reports
Almost every issue contains (often exclusive) add-ons to new or already well-known games.
Since 2010, the magazine has also been available as an international version in English to give all non-German speakers the spielbox® experience.
In 2019 we started our first Kickstarter campaign and it was amazing. The second campaign in 2020 was even much better. Since 2021, we have had a new editor-in-chief who has now settled in well. His team has also become a bit younger and has been joined by a few women. The magazine has now undergone some changes, but the list for further ideas is still long.
